When: Wednesday, June 2, 2010 His former teacher, Will Eisner once said to him, "Better Late Than Never, Kid!" so we will use that adage here. Mark Sparacio is finally getting back to updating his website and is starting with his Events Schedule. Here goes: Due to his very busy publishing schedule Mark Sparacio will only be making two appearances at conventions this year. The first will beWizard World Philadelphia and the second is San Diego Comic Con International. Please see below for details.   Wizard World Philadelphia, 2009 When: Saturday, June 19, 2010 12:00PM-7:00AM Where: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Hoooooboy! It's that time of year again! The first big convention of the fast and furious summer convention season kicks off with Wizard World Philadelphia located at the Philadelphia Convention Center, 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia Pennsylvania 19107, kicking it off on Friday, June 19th, 12pm. - 7pm., Saturday, June 20th, 10am. - 7pm. and Sunday, June 21st, 11am. - 5pm. And if our information is correct(and it usually is) Mark Sparacio will not only be attending, his Artist Alley table is #133, but he will have his first ever WW Philly Exclusive on sale there! It is the first in a series of Wizard World 2009 Exclusive lithographs of his creator owned character, Solarra the Huntress (see the image above). This full color, fully hand painted 11 inch x 17 inch litho, printed on Howard Linen, will be a hand signed and numbered limited edition of 200 copies with the WW Philly 2009 Exclusive logo on it and will be sold for the bargain basement price of just $20.00. How can you beat that?! Also, if that wasn't enough, Mark Sparacio will be teaching a Wizard School on how to paint covers for the comic industry, Out of the Tube, on Sunday, June 19th, from 1pm. - 2pm. in room 202A. Try to stop in for a little raucous fun ... But wait, there's more! Rumor has it that the model for Solarra the Huntress, might make a special appearance at Sparacio's booth #133 to sign as well! So c'mon down and say, "Hey!" to Sparacio! If Solarra doesn't stop by, he'll probably appreciate the company ... When: Friday, July 23, 2010 5:00AM-9:00AM Where: San Diego, California Well, we said it was fast and furious ... and here it is, the biggest convention of the summer! The San Diego Comic Con International, located at the San Diego Convention Center, 111 Harbor Drive, San Diego, California, 92101. Beginning on Wednesday afternoon, July 22nd, with Preview Night, 4:00pm. - 9:00pm, Thursday July 23rd, 10:00am. - 6:00pm, Friday July 24th, 10:00am - 6:00pm, Saturday July 25th, 10:00am - 6:00pm. and Sunday July 26th, 10:00am - 5:00pm. Mark Sparacio will be returning to booth #1423 with his booth buddy and cohort in craziness, Mark (Ghost Rider, Wolverine, Punisher) Texeira!! Sparacio promises to have a bunch of all new Full Color and Black and White lithos, plus a whole kit-n-kaboodle of other great artwork! What more really needs to be said about the LARGEST convention of the summer? Just come on out and see for yourself. Trust us you will not be disappointed! Maybe overwhelmed, but definitely not disappointed!!! When: Friday, August 6, 2010 12:00PM-7:00PM Where: Beautiful Rosemont, Chicago Fast and furious is definitely the term for this year's summer convention schedule! From the largest convention of the summer, Sparacio throws himself (with his usual style, grace and panache, which really isn't very much)right into the midst of the Monster of the Midway, Wizard World Chicago, located at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Road in beautiful Rosemont, Illinois, 60018. The convention kicks off on Thursday, August 6th, Friday, August 7th, Saturday, August 8th and Sunday August 9th, with the starting and ending times to be announced. Sparacio will be unveiling lithograph number two in his series of Wizard World Exclusives, featuring his creator owned character, Solarra the Huntress! Look for the new image to be posted here and elsewhere on this website. And the rumors continue to abound that the model who plays Solarra the Huntress will be making a special signing appearance at Sparacio's Artist Alley table (location yet to be determined) here in Chicago as well to promote the lithograph and upcoming comic book series! When: Sunday, October 10, 2010 10:00AM-6:00PM Where: Incredibly Cool (pun intended), Saint Paul, Minnesota It seems that those incredibly nice fellas from the land of 10,000 lakes didn't realize what they were getting into when they invited Mark Sparacio to FallCon 2008. That's right, they fell for his charm and joie de vivre and unsuspectingly invited him back to the upper mid-west's best comic book convention, FallCon 2009! FallCon will be held, yet again, at The Minnesota State Fairgrounds, 1265 Snelling Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55108, on Saturday, October 10th and Sunday October 11th, the starting and ending times are still to be determined. Sparacio has told us that he intends to debut more lithos and art for this convention. In fact the ol' rumor mill has it that the FallCon guys and Sparacio are negotiating for Sparacio to do a painted cover for FallCon's 2009 convention program! As soon as we have some images, we'll be sure to post them to give you a sneak peek. Stay tuned and be afraid, be very afraid ... So, if you like good old fashioned comic book shows with a great collectors atmosphere and with some fantastic, friendly people, be sure to make every effort to attend FallCon 2009! When: Saturday, October 16, 2010 12:00PM-7:00PM Where: New York City, New York, the city so nice, they named it twice HOLY COW (Sorry Phil Rizzuto)!!! The new, New, NEW and now better than ever Big Apple ComicCon, New York City National, is now being promoted by none other than those wacky, crazy, fun loving guys from Wizard World! It now will be held at Pier 94 New York City, New York. The dates are Friday, October 16th, Saturday, October 17th and Sunday, October 18th. The times are still being worked out and we will let you know as soon as we do! Sparacio will be debuting the third of his Wizard World Exclusive lithos featuring his creator owned character, Solarra the Huntress! We will post an image as soon as possible. Also, if you missed the first two Solarra the Huntress lithos that debuted at WW Philly and WW Chicago, he might still have a limited number of them available for purchase. So please be sure to stop by, check things out and give a hearty "Hey!
